Obituary for Vera Griffith Vaughan (Griffith)

Anniston -Mrs Vera Griffith Vaughan, 91, of Anniston went to be with the Lord on July 31, 2012. Funeral services will be held on Friday August 3, 2012 at Forest Lawn Gardens Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be from 12 to 1PM held just prior to the funeral service; the Reverends Mike Owens and Gene Lee officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Garden.
Vera was born October 30, 1920 in Alexandria, Alabama to Chester and Virginia Griffith. She was a life long member of Leatherwood Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Emmett D. Vaughan and sisters, Lillie Ghee, Nannie McCray and Ruth Caine.
She is survived by her brother, Gray Griffith; her daughter Connie Vaughan Houston (Charlie); and her son Daniel W. Vaughan. Grandchildren Melissa Hodges (Tim); Monica Baker (John); Sean Paul Vaughan (Jennifer); Daniel Vaughan II (Jen); and Cory Vaughan. Great-grandchildren, Jackson Hodges, Norwood Hodges, Constance Hodges, Emmett D. Hodges, JohnMorgan Baker, Mitchell Baker, Amelia Baker, Reagan Vaughan, Riley Vaughan, Spencer Vaughan.
Vera was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was greatly loved by her family and friends and returned that love with warmth and grace. She will be deeply missed.
