Heflin - Gerald D. Yancy, 65, died Friday, December 21, 2012 at Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 23, 2012, at Dryden Funeral Home Chapel with the Dr. Roland Brownand Rev. David Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Heflin City Cemetery.December 22, Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Grand Child - Kolton Yancy
Grand Child - Kaleb Yancy
Grand Child - Makayla Yancy

Pallbearers will be Friends and Family, with employees of J&D Burgess Trucking Company serving as Honorary Pallbearers.
Mr. Yancy was a truck driver with 40 years of experience, finishing his career with J&D Burgess Trucking Company for 23 years. He was a huge Alabama football fan. Gerald was a very loving and kind hearted man that absolutely lived life for his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; John and Alta Yancy, brother, Ray Yancy; sister, Ruby Yancy and a great niece, Avery Turley.
