Heflin - Jean Thrasher Abner, 89, died Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Cleburne Co. Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 19, 2015, at Dryden Funeral Home Chapel with the Dr. Wayne Stevens and Rev. Chris Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Heflin City Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, December 18, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Abner, a native of St. Clair County, had resided in Cleburne County since 1950. She served for many years as Vacation Bible School Director in various churches and was very active in The Cleburne Baptist Association. The role she worked at very hard and loved so much was supporting her husband in his ministry. Mrs. Abner was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. G. K. Abner
