Heflin -Linda Faye Russell, 60, died Wednesday, January 27, 2015, at her residence. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 29, 2016, at Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church #2 with Steve Dempsey and John Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church #2 Cemetery. Visitation will be, Thursday, January 28, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include her husband, Danny Joe Russell, of Heflin, son, David Shannon Russell (Cynthia) of Anniston, granddaughter, Gabie Russell; sisters, Minnie Lee McCormick, Doris Cavender, Mildred Bearden, Jeanette Cantrell all of Heflin, and Sharlene Hightower of Carrollton, GA; brother, Cleophus (Pete) Bearden of Carrollton, GA. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. She was preceded in death by her parents, William David and Amy Cerrilla Bearden, three sisters, Gladys Cavender, Kathleen Dewberry and Mary Beers and one brother, James (JW) Bearden.
Mrs. Russell was a native of Cleburne County and resident of Randolph County for the past 14 years. Linda was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was also a member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church #2.
