Heflin - Melody Hope (Whaley) Alred, 28, died Saturday, December 24, 2016 in Heflin Al.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at Freedom Baptist Church with the Rev. Chris Cone, Rev. Dewayne Palmer, and Rev. Jerome Whaley officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 27, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Pallbearers will be: Luke McCormick, Jonathan McComb, Shannon Williamson, Kyle Clifton, Matthew Whaley, and Jason Norton. Honorary pallbearers will be The Class of 2006 and her four boys.
Mrs. Alred was a native and lifelong resident of Cleburne County. Melody was a graduate of Ranburne High School and Southern Union Community College. She was a RN at Nolan Health Care. Melody loved each of her patients as if they were her own family. She was a loving wife and daughter, but most of all loved her four boys. Melody loved to spend her spare time catfishing.
