Heflin - William Harold Smith, 81, died Sunday, October 8, 2017 at UAB Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at New Harmony Baptist Church with the Rev. Chad Morgan, officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Bowery Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 10, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Sister - Betty (Jerry) Hollingsworth, Golden Springs, AL
Sister - Iva (Terry) Russell, Ohatchee, AL
Brother - Harris (Josephine) Smith, Ohatchee, AL
Brother - Richard (Sharon) Smith, Ohatchee, AL
Grandchildren - Dawn Rice and Kyle Little
Great Grandchildren - Ashley, Trinity, Brianna, and Alex
Several nieces and nephews
Pallbearers will be Deacons of New Harmony Baptist Church.
Harold was a native of Ohatchee, AL and a resident of Cleburne County for over 50 years. Harold was in the U.S. Army and served out of Ft. Campbell KY. After serving the in the Army, Harold went to work with the State of Alabama Hwy. Dept. in 1960 and retired in 1996. Harold was a deacon of New Harmony Baptist Church and preceded in death by his wife, Grace Smith, son, Tim Smith, parents, Hoyt and Eva Smith, and sister Dorothy Hamil.
