Heflin - Mary Francis Spruiell Owens, 93, died Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at Cleburne Co. Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 26, 2017, at Fruithurst Baptist Church with the Rev. David Ginn, Rev. Ronnie Williams, Rev. James Owens, and Rev. Brandon Owens officiating. Burial will follow in Upper Cane Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, October 26, 2017 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. at Fruithurst Baptist Church.

Daughter - Carlotta Owens (Donald) Bell, Tallapoosa, GA
Daughter - Catherine (Mitchell) Hart, Bremen, GA
Daughter - Sarah (Eddie) Popham, Fruithurst, AL
Son - Elmo (Joan) Owens, Fruithurst, AL
Son - James (Beverly) Owens, Fruithurst, AL
Daughter in law - Ruby Owen, Fruithurst, AL
Grandchildren - 14
Great Grandchildren - 25
Great-Great Grandchildren - 10
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Ms. Owens was a native and lifelong resident of Cleburne County and a member of Fruithurst Baptist Church. Ms. Mary worked at Hubbard's in Tallapoosa, GA. as a seamstress. She was an avid gardener, who loved flowers and also loved to quilt and cook for her family. Ms. Owens was preceded in death by her husband, William Alton "Hometown" Owens and son, Charles "Bunk" Owens.
