Jacksonville - Roger Lamar McGathy Jr., 48, died Monday, January 22, 2018 at RMC Jacksonville.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 25, 2018, at Dryden Funeral Home Chapel with the Charles McGathy officiating. Burial will follow in Goshen Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, January 25, 2018 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Grandchildren - Zander & Nicholas Ingram
Pallbearers will be: Charles McGathy, Derrick White, Dennis Sexton, Joseph Scoggins, Adam Scoggins, Josh Hudgins, and Robert Scoggins. Honorary pallbearers will be: Drew Sexton and Matt Sexton.
Mr. McGathy was a native and resident of Calhoun County most of his life. Roger was a truck driver by trade. He loved life and had the nickname "HaHa" because he loved to make people laugh. Roger was an avid fisherman and loved Alabama Football. Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Ada and Roger McGathy, Sr. and sister Shannon Wood.
