Jacksonville - Anna Lillian Newell, 93, died Monday, March 26, 2018 at Legacy Village of Jacksonville.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 30, 2018, at Heflin Baptist Church with the Rev. Brent Thompson, Dr. Wayne Stevens, and Dr. Don Carroll officiating. Burial will follow in Heflin City Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, March 29, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include:
Daughters - Sara Newell Hyatt, Dallas , GA, Glenda(Walt) Williams, Center Point, AL, Jane(Rod Fougner) Newell, Big Falls, MN and Carla(Jim) Newell Tullis, Heflin, AL.
Grandchildren - Glenn(Carrie) Hyatt, Christie(Steve) Wainwright, Jonathan Hyatt, Jason(Tammy) Williams, Philip Williams, Mark(Stephanie) Williams, Emily(Jim) Pruitt, Trey(Jenn) Williams, Tony Dodson, Joey Tullis, Anna Tullis, and Courtney(Eric) Morgan.
Great Grandchildren - 13
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Ms. Newell was a native of Chilton County and resident of Heflin most of her life. Anna retired from Moore Business Forms and Cleburne County Hospital. Anna was member of Heflin Baptist Church, American Cancer Society, Pilot Club, WMU, and a member of the Energizers (Retired Alabama Power Employees) and also volunteered for over 20 years as a "Pink Lady" at RMC.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heflin Baptist Church Missionary Fund.
