Heflin - Donald Ray Jacobs, 65, died Thursday, April 5, 2018 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, April 8, 2018, at Dryden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Philip Morris officiating. Burial will follow in Heflin City Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, April 8, 2018 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include:
Spouse - Debby Jacobs, Heflin, AL
Daughter - Claire Jacobs, Heflin, AL
Mother - Lucille Jacobs, Heflin, AL
Brother - Jerry Jacobs, Acworth, GA
Brother - Tommy Jacobs, Lavonia, GA
Niece - 6
Nephew - 3
Pallbearers will be: Leland Barker, Bobby Bailey, Ken Duhon, Jim Beam, Steve Perry, Bryon Lane, Chris Trotter, and Dylan Trotter.
Mr. Jacobs was a computer specialist for GE Capital, Bell South, and EDS. Don was a member of Heflin Baptist Church and graduate of Cleburne County High School, Class of 1971. He was a avid golfer and loved the military history.
