Piedmont - Jerry Lavonne Haywood, 76, died Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Jacksonville Health and Rehab.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 5, 2018, at Dryden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, July 5, 2018 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
Survivors include:
Daughter - Janet(Chris) Brannam, Roopville, GA
Daughter - Michelle Haywood, Micaville, AL
Sister - Venda Smith
Brother - McAurthur Haywood
Grandchildren - Justin Wall, Blake Brannam, Jacob Banks, & Sean Michael Haywood
Great Grand Child - Brayleigh Haywood
Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Haywood was a native of Cleburne County AL. and was Baptist by faith. Jerry retired from Goodyear in Rock Mart GA. and also was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy where he served on the U.S.S. Trathen. Jerry loved his family, especially his grandchildren, woodworking and building birdhouses. Mr. Haywood was preceded by his parents, Dorfeild and Helen Haywood, son Michael Haywood, and sister, Elizabeth Haywood.
