Christine Ellen Gay , 98 of Heflin, Alabama died on Saturday, May 13, 2017.

Surviving are sons, Wallace (Carolyn) Gay of Arab, AL and Billy (Hazel) Gay of Heflin, AL, daughter, Betty Ann (Tom) Hodge of Bowdon, GA.

Surviving are grandchildren, Christy (Mitch) Osborne, Kendra (Mark) Poirier, Lora (Scott) Merrill, Lisa (Jeremy) Slaton, Ashley Gay, Tanya (Kevin) Hay, Anita (Steve) Whiting, Mary (Kevin) Stallings, and Mark Grindle, nine great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday at Crumley's Chapel Church located at 288 County Road 644 Ranburne, Alabama 36273 with the Rev. Kyle Morrow, Rev. Wayne Barnett and Anita Whiting speaking of "The Legacy of Christine Gay". Interment will be in Crumley's Chapel Cemetery, Ranburne, AL.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at Crumley's Chapel, 288 County Road 644, Ranburne, Alabama.

Pallbearers will be: Mitch Osborne, Scott Merrill, Jeremy Slaton, Kevin Hay, Steve Whiting, and Johnnie Lipham.

Mrs. Gay was a native and life long resident of Cleburne County and a life long member of Crumley Chapel Church of God where she served as Sunday School Teacher. She enjoyed going to the Ranburne Senior Center for the past 20 years. Christine was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Viola Cantrell, sister Pauline Martin, two grandsons Clay Osborne and Aaron Gay, and her husband, Rudy Gay.
