Nell M. Norton, 83 of Heflin, Alabama died on Sunday, August 20, 2017, at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, Georgia.

Born Monday, April 30, 1934.

She was a member of Ai Baptist Church.

Surviving are daughter, Becky (Lee) Nickles of Centre, AL. sons, Ken (Avis) Norton of Heflin, AL, Marc (Kim) Norton of Heflin, AL and Richard Norton of Heflin, AL., twelve grandkids and seventeen great grandkids.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday at Ai Baptist Church located at 3079 County Road 62 Heflin, Alabama 36264 with the Rev. Donald Leggett, Rev. Clarence Bright and Rev. Homer Wysner officiating. Interment will be in Ai Cemetery, Heflin, AL.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, August 22, 2017, at Dryden Funeral Home, 1467 Almon St., Heflin, Alabama.

Pallbearers will be; Chris Parrish, Jamie Parrish, Matt Norton, Ethan Norton, C.J. Higgins, Tyler Higgins, Gus Ledbetter, and Brayden Holdbrooks.

Mrs. Norton was a native and lifelong resident of Cleburne County and member of Ai Baptist Church. Nell was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Norton, parents, Marcus and Minnie Myers, sister, Sybil Flournoy, brothers, Ruben and Sid Myers and grandchild, Jeffrey Parrish.
