Heflin - Rev. Lamar Malcolm Davis, 85, died Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Nolan Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at Heflin First United Methodist Church with the Dr. Michael Burgess and Dr. Sam Hayes, officiating. Burial will follow in Heflin City Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Heflin First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include:
Wife - Jenny Davis, Heflin, AL
Son - Lamar (Nancy) Davis, Jr., Springville, AL
Granddaughter - Shannon (Trey) Antley, Columbania, AL
Great Grandson - Asa Antley, Columbania, AL
Pallbearers will be: Carey Stewart, Craig Stewart, Andy Arnold, Barry Arnold, Bob Smith, and Ripley Ridge.
Bro. Lamar served 46 years as a minister in the North Alabama Conference of the United Methodist Church. Lamar had a love for everybody, but especially for children and youth. After retiring from the Heflin First United Methodist Church, Lamar and Jenny made Heflin their home for the past 17 years. Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his parents, TJ and Fannie Davis.
