Delta - Edward Smith Turley, 87, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2018.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, March 31, 2018, at Dryden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Dixon officiating. Burial will follow in Hepsabah Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, March 31, 2018 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Turley is survived by Mary Sue Turley, his wife of 64 years, children, Shirley(Keith) Myers, Nashville, TN, Pamela(Wesley) Allen, Birmingham, AL, and Katrina Turley, Nashville, TN., Grandchildren Paula Kotler, Priscilla Evans, Brandon Evans, Denise Millsaps, Darla Allen, and Jordan Turley, and 12 Great Grandchildren and sister, Virginia Powell.
Edward was preceded in death by his son, Darrell Turley.
Mr. Turley was an Army Veteran who served as a Demolition Expert in the Korean War. He raised his family in Nashville, TN., and returned to his native home of Alabama after retirement.
He was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend.
