Ranburne - Carolyn Gore McElroy, age 73, passed away Wednesday, May 9th, 2018. She was born July 30th, 1944 in Piedmont, Alabama. Carolyn was the daughter of the late Leona Davis Gore and W. C. Gore. Preceded in death by husband Mickey McElroy, and sisters, Marie Carter and Wanda Griffith. Carolyn was employed with BBI and Bowdon Drug in Bowdon, GA for many years, and she was a member of Crumley’s Chapel Church of God, where she served as the choir director for approximately 45 years.

Survivors include daughters Sherri Pollard and husband Jesse, and Kelly McMahan and husband Tracy, along with grandchildren Kyle Pollard (Hannah), Clay Pollard (Amanda), Kayla Pollard-Horne (Brannon), Alexis McMahan, and Trace McMahan. She is also survived by great grandchildren, Lovie Pollard, Brynlynn Pollard, and Kix Pollard also sisters, Billie Jones, Evaline Echols, and brother W.C. Gore Jr.

Family will receive friends Friday, May 11th, 2018 from 3 to 6 PM CST at Crumley’s Chapel Church of God. Services will be held Saturday, May 12th, 2018 at 1 PM CST, also at Crumley’s Chapel Church of God. Officiating the services will be Neal Fowler and Kyle Morrow. Interment will follow services in the church cemetery with Kyle Pollard, Clay Pollard, Trace McMahan, Brannon Horne, Hayden Simmons, Tory McMahan, Keith Stephens, and Nathan Fowler serving as pallbearers.
