Obituary for Roberta B. Bennett

Heflin – Roberta Boozer Bennett, age 89, died on Friday, May 25, 2018 at the NHS Health and Rehabilitation in Jacksonville, AL. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Danny Boozer
(Vickie), Donna Thompson (Roland), Owen Boland (Mary Beth), Robert Jones (Dalenie), Lily Green (Steve), Kathy Estes (Scott), sister-in-law Bertha Boozer, fourteen great nieces and
nephews and many great-great nieces and nephews.

Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Lillie Mae Boozer, brother Thomas Hugh Boozer; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce (Robert) Jones; sister, Virginia Lyons and niece,
Janet Sue (Suzy) Boozer.

Roberta attended business school in Nashville, TN. She retired as an Executive Assistant from Lockheed-Martin in Marietta, GA. She then move back to Heflin, AL and spent many years with
her family.

A celebration of her life is scheduled for Monday, May 28, 2018 with visitation beginning at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Dryden Funeral Home with the funeral at 1:00 pm. The Committal
Services will be at Cedar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery following the funeral. In the event of rain, the Committal Services will commence directly following the funeral in the Chapel. Rev.
Michael Burgess from Heflin First United Methodist Church and Rev. Scott Estes from Mt. View Baptist Church will be officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Creek Baptist Church
Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be members of the Heflin First United Methodist Church, friends and family.
