Jacksonville - Mary Thompson Poore, 79, died Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Jacksonville Health and Rehab.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Dryden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jason Grissom officiating. Burial will follow in Upper Cane Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 1, 2018 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs Poore is survived by sons; John Poore of Piedmont, Alabama and Raymond E. (Amy) Poore, Jr. of Tuscaloosa, AL.
Grandchildren are Whitt, Will, Hank, Elizabeth and Amy.
Mrs. Poore was a native of Cleburne County and a resident of Jacksonville for most of her life. She was a member of Jacksonville 1st Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Earl Poore, Sr.; parents, Ellis Lee and Zella Thompson; and sisters, Dorothy Cates, Bernice Kent, and Agnes Nunnally.
