Heflin - Opal Mildred Whitman, 79, died Monday, July 27, 2018 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at Dryden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Chris Jackson and Rev. Lanis White, officiating. Burial will follow in Macedonia Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 31, 2018 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Daughter - Joann(Jonathan) Lambert
Son - Wayne Gore
Grandchildren - Michael(Misty) Gore & Nikki Gore, Ethan(Kayla) Lambert, & Nathan Lambert(Courtney Gann)
Great Grandchildren - Dillon McNeese, Hunter Gore, Brock Kirkland, Waylon, Brayden, & Bo Lambert
Pallbearers will be: Michael Gore, Nathan Lambert, Dillon McNeese, Hunter Gore, Jonathan Lambert, and Ethan Lambert.
Mrs. Whitman was a native and life long resident of Cleburne County. She was a loving mother and granny. Mrs. Whitman was preceded in death by parents, William Bill and Polly Ann White, husband, Vertis Whitman, daughter, Mary Ann Whitman, brothers, Kirby White, Harold "Wad" White, Horace Jim White, Curtis "Rip" White, Eugene White, Wendell "Duck" White, and Burl Smith White.
