Heflin - Tommy Wayne Smith, Sr., 77, passed away on August 21, 2018, at home. He was the son of the late Tom L. and Lorraine R. Smith of Trussville, Alabama.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 25, 2018, at Dryden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert Turley officiating. Burial will follow in Lower Cane Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, August 25, 2018 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Preceding him in death was a sister, Janice Harris and a brother, Bobby Smith, Sr.
Tommy is survived by his wife, Ramona Sawyer Smith of Heflin, Alabama; son, Tommy W. Smith, Jr., of Heflin, Alabama; daughter, Michelle Smith of Gadsden, Alabama; sister in-law, Margaret Smith of Odenville, Alabama; brother in-law Clarence Harris of Asheville, Alabama; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Tommy was a telephone supervisor for GTE/Verizon. He was great lover of his horses and dogs.
