Obituary for Peggy Jane McElroy Dewberry

Heflin - Peggy Jane McElroy Dewberry, 70, died Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 26, 2018, at Liberty Hill Congregational Methodist Church with the Rev. Gary Cox and Rev. Donald Triplett, officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Sister - Patsy Ann Swafford Body
Sister - Linda Sue McElroy
Sister - Judy McElroy Mashburn
Brother - Donald Doyce McElroy
Nephew - Jimmy Ray Swafford, Jr.
Niece - Kristi Hope McElroy
Great Nieces & Great Nephew - Jenna, Jayden, & Stephanie Swafford
Pallbearers will be: Robby Goodman, Kagan Nichols, Tim Estes, Jimmy Swafford, Stephanie Swafford, and Steve Dalrymple.
Mrs. Dewberry was a native and lifelong resident of Cleburne County. She was retired from the Cleburne County Board of Education after 33 years of teaching at Cleburne County High School and Pleasant Grove Elementary. Mrs. Dewberry was a lifelong member of Liberty Hill Congregational Methodist Church and was still actively involved. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Doyce and Mildred McElroy and two nephews, Richard Lee Williams and Donald Kale McElroy.
